Wishpond: 2017 in Review


Dear Wishpond users and readers,

As 2018 approaches, we wanted to take a look back at 2017 – a quick and nostalgic overview of the most exciting Wishpond moments over the past year – and it’s been a fantastic one.

But first, we’d like to extend a sincere thanks to everyone who has been a part of Wishpond’s growth over the past year: our fast-growing team, our partners, and, of course, you: our friends and users.

We’re incredibly grateful for the people who make Wishpond what it is – we do this for you and couldn’t do it without you. Thank you.

Between an office expansion, 15 new and valued colleagues, absurd quantities of Costco shopping, and a wild river rafting adventure, the Wishpond team found time to help our customers generate over 10 million leads, and have fun doing it.

Now, let’s look at some of the new features Wishpond released in 2017…

First, we put out our List-Building Tools – Opt-In Bar, Welcome Mat, and Slide-In Popup – a simple but powerful set of apps designed to help businesses make the most of the traffic on their websites and campaigns.

Next, we released our newest contest tools: Bonus Entry and Leaderboard. Built with the modern marketer (that‘s you) in mind, these contests incentivize social media engagement to maximize the reach of your campaigns and the engagement they receive.

Just this month, we quietly rolled out our new email editor. It’s a terrific tool that makes building amazing email newsletters and campaigns even easier. We love using the sleek, drag-and-drop editor and new features, like the ability to import (and then edit!) images from Instagram, Facebook or Google Drive.

And (announced for the first time here), we’re excited to be partnering with Shopify to offer codeless (truly codeless!) ecommerce popups for all Shopify users. We’re super excited about this relationship, and are looking forward to more integrations to come in the new year.

In 2017, we also took some time to work on our brand messaging to better reflect Wishpond’s unique position in the market as a software/service hybrid. By introducing our Done For You service, we’ve given all business owners a way to have amazing marketing campaigns created and run by our brilliant team of expert marketers, conversion experts and designers.

Most importantly, we had the immense pleasure of watching our customers find incredible success with Wishpond. Whether it was Bhu Foods, who increased their online revenue by 25%, or Lufbery Watches, who raised over $30,000 in Kickstarter funding, it’s been amazing to watch our users grow their businesses with Wishpond in 2017.

So again, thank you for putting your trust in Wishpond – we get to work on a product we love every day because of you.

With that, we’ll be signing off for 2017 to spend a little time with our loved ones before heading into the new year.
