Why was it so important to Shopify to make its enterprise tool independent, rather than simply (as many businesses do) a higher-level plan?

You're pitching Shopify Plus as an additional 3rd party tool, rather than (necessarily) the foundation of a business' online presence. You've used the example where Oreo uses Shopify Plus as, essentially, a microsite from which to promote a short-term new flavor for the holiday season.

This "single-campaign" style is very different from how people normally think about Shopify. Are you concerned that people will come and go and only use you when they expect unusual site traffic?
