Have you noticed a briefcase icon and some text describing the profile type on certain Twitter accounts? That’s thanks to a new feature called Twitter for Professionals, that’s aimed at businesses and creators using the platform to market themselves.
So what advanced profile features does Twitter for Professionals provide, and how can you sign up for it? I’ll be covering exactly that in this article, so let’s jump in!
What is Twitter for Professionals?
Twitter for Professionals was first announced in April 2021 and helps anyone that uses Twitter professionally to differentiate themselves from personal accounts.
For example, if you use Twitter to market your business, you can use a professional account to showcase your products and services directly from your profile alongside important information such as business hours and location.
It also makes it easy for your followers to subscribe to your newsletter, if you have one, by providing a subscribe button that you can add to your Twitter profile.
You can even plan your tweets in advance by using software like Hypefury that allows you to schedule tweets to post, if work or life get too busy and you just don’t have the time
Another feature is access to Twitter Ads, which lets you promote your tweets.
Since Twitter for Professionals is free, you have nothing to lose from trying it out.
